Lemme whip up a pcpp |
Maybe something Like this |
I didnβt include monitor or hard drives |
I also just went with nvidia though you can get a 5700xt as well for roughly equal performance to a 2070/2070s |
Not sure what your workload is like you can also upgrade the CPU to a 3700X if you need more threads |
Iβd definitely get a higher refresh rate monitor if youβre planning on gaming |
sweet ty |
also yeah iβm definitely gonna get an nvidia card so i can potentially fuck around with CUDA stuff |
iβm worried if i get a better monitor it will ruin my eyes forever |
yeah its just better value to get AMD CPUs right now. Unless youβre hardcore into gaming and literally nothing else, where a 9700K or 9900K would be a bit better |
Right now I have a 1080p Curved VA 144Hz monitor for gaming, and a 1440p 60Hz IPS for watching movies n stuff. Def want to get a 144Hz 1440p IPS tho to replace my current 1080p VA |
Do they have RGB illumination in nippon |
yeah and lots of PRO-GAMER tie-ins that i couldnt care less about |
iβm gonna avoid RGB as much as possible idgaf |
are you gonna try this |
new shit coming out intel released their 10-series desktop parts |
Nvidia RTX 3080 and 3090 leaked |
I wonder how many of my organs Iβll have to sell and what size thorium reactor Iβll need to get and run the rumored RTX 3090. |
Apparently just the cooling solution that leaked costs them $150 to manufacture or something wild |
lol @ the intro to this ltt vid |
At this point Linus should just make his intro the Pornhub community theme with all of the fucking clickbait bullshit he does. |
Also, this video is an ad. Fantastic. |
its an ad for seasonic but they donβt even show the power supply in the vid iirc |
mister taxi whatβs the latest on SSDs? samsung still top? is m2 still legit? |
idk if i posted it elsewhere but this is the neckbeard tower i got |
Latest is PCIe 4.0 which is currently only available on AMD x570 platform and i think probably threadripper. Of course you wouldnβt be able to tell the difference between a PCIe 3 nvme drive and a PCIe 4 nvme drive unless you had a specific I/O bottleneck before. Samsung is always the #1 name but I never buy them because theyβre overpriced. For the average user, basically any SSD that has a DRAM cache is good enough for a primary boot drive and for storage you can cheap out even further and you probably wonβt notice a difference (except for initial defect rates I guess) |
Did you actually need a DVD drive or it just came with one because japan lolz |
i need one for doujin games!!! |
Tiko, are doujin games still primarily distributed on optical media at places like Comiket? Iβve always wanted to go but Iβve never had the money. |
yeah, at least last time i went when you participate as a circle you have to give comiket one of your things to archive it iβd rather do like USB drives or something tho |
and by CD i mean DVD |
Is it the same for music as well? Part of me wants to go just to rip the music for my collection. |
idk i never go to the music day but probably |
Thanks. Iβm still holding off on a buildβ¦. but this is good to know. |
tbh all the info i know about ssds iβve learned from reddit lol |
Thereβs nothing wrong with that. I like anandtech and hardocp too |
im running an i5-4670k @4.2ghz, 8gb ram, 980 gtx, 850 evo. my shit is OLD, but it still runs well |
those overclockable sandy bridge -> haswell parts are still relevant |
Just nabbed 2x 1080Tis from a dude for under $1000 canadian gonna try to sell at least one for like $600 |
Nice get. |
